The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions to your community.

SASSA are going to be rendering services including new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency stated it truly is alarmed about the substantial range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The aim in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the high quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no entirely functional office committed to service the area on a regular basis. The assistance place made for intervention SRD activities a substantial influx of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it complicated for that office to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more methods to permit the servicing of all clients and increase use of Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
